The Biology of Sex Crimes

Sexual behavior is a complex phenomenon which emanates from the brain and manifests in the psyche. Deviant sexual behavior is defined as sexual behavior which is in opposition to societal norms and values. Are sexual crimes the product of deviant minds or deviant brains? In this workshop, the biology of deviant sex crimes will be introduced. The lecturer will discuss the relationship between sexuality and mental illnesses. Case examples will be used to illustrate the relationship between biology and sex crimes.
